S. Koreans Urge Regime to Repatriate DPRK Citizens

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) — The Measure Council for Ensuring Human Rights of DPRK Women Employees, composed of various south Korean bodies including the South Headquarters of the Pan-National Alliance for Korea’s Reunification and the Human Rights Center of the Council of Christian Churches, released a statement on August 15 demanding the repatriation of the DPRK women citizens, according to south Korean Yonhap News.

Deploring their plight of being forced to live under unstable armistice and lingering danger of war, the statement said:

The regime should make a decisive decision to open up a new era of national reconciliation, unity and reunification. To this end, it should thoroughly probe the truth behind the suspicious case of “defection from the north” masterminded by the Park Guen Hye-led forces meddling in the “state affairs” and the Intelligence Service, and repatriate the women citizens of the north, first of all.

The statement urged the regime to punish those responsible for the case and take a measure to prevent its reoccurrence.

South Korean Regime Urged to Stop Sordid Operation to Evade Repatriation of DPRK Women

Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) — A spokesman of the DPRK Emergency Measure Committee for Rescuing Abducted Persons issued a statement Thursday over the fact that the south Korean authorities are resorting to sordid and mean operation to evade the repatriation of detained DPRK women citizens.

By forcing into marriage the 12 DPRK girls whom they took to south Korea after abducting them in group overseas in April last year, the south Korean authorities are trying to give impression that they have “settled in south Korea to lead a stable life” at their “own will”. This is aimed to reject the demand of the DPRK for their repatriation, the statement said, and went on:

This is a hideous crime that can never be overlooked and another intolerable political provocation to the DPRK.

The behavior of the present south Korean policy-makers reminds one of the cursed act of depravity the Park Geun Hye group of traitors committed by abducting the DPRK citizens in broad daylight.

The south Korean authorities should not miscalculate that they can cover up the truth behind the forced abduction of DPRK women and that they can hush up the repatriation issue.

Their far-fetched assertions aimed to evade the repatriation will only lead to mounting fury of the DPRK and stronger demand for repatriation at home and abroad, and they will be blamed for all the ensuing consequences.

Taking ourselves of this opportunity, we would like to clarify that there can never be any humanitarian cooperation including the reunions of families and relatives separated into the north and the south without the unconditional repatriation of those 12 DPRK women as well as Kim Ryon Hui.

The south Korean authorities should send back those women to the DPRK where their families are waiting as quickly as possibly, far from resorting to the foolish act of raising an axe to drop it on one’s own feet, if they wish for the solution of the humanitarian issues between the north and the south. –

S. Korean Authorities Slammed for Refusing to Repatriate DPRK Citizens

Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) — A spokesman for the DPRK Emergency Measure Committee for Rescuing Abducted Persons released a statement Thursday as regards the fact that the south Korean regime has refused to repatriate the DPRK citizens, justifying their detention.

The statement said:

The south Korean authorities are refusing to repatriate the abducted DPRK citizens and justifying their detention, asserting that Kim Ryon Hui and 12 women citizens of the DPRK who were abducted in group “defected from the north and settled in south Korea according to their free will” and that there is no reason to “repatriate them, according to a law in force.”

This is just another politically-motivated provocation denying the social system of the DPRK.

If the south Korean authorities truly “respect personal intention” of the DPRK citizens, they should send them back to the DPRK without delay as wanted by them.

The unreasonable detention of the DPRK citizens is just an inhuman act of following in the footsteps of the Park Geun Hye group of traitors which had been hell-bent on hideous acts against the nation and humanity, and a human rights abuse going against the principle of the international human rights standard.

The south Korean authorities are talking about “reunion of separated families” from the north and the south while patronizing the unethical crimes of the former conservative regime which separated the children from their parents and families in broad daylight.

They should stop this impudent act but unconditionally repatriate the citizens. –

Immediate Repatriation of DPRK Women Citizens Urged

Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) — The representative of the DPRK made a speech at the 35th session of HRC being held in Geneva on June 15.

Today in the DPRK, dynamic struggle is under way to foil maneuvers of hostile forces to impose sanctions and pressure upon it and fully realize the dream and ideal of people by ensuring their independent rights and genuine human rights under the politics of affording priority, respect and love to the people of our respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the representative said, and went on:

While resolutely rejecting the politicization of human rights, the DPRK attaches importance to the genuine dialogue and cooperation in the international human rights field.

The HRC should no longer tolerate such human rights violations of the U.S., the worst-ever tundra of human rights in the world and the ringleader and the mastermind of human rights violations as well, but take appropriate action.

Japan is a classic state of anti-human rights crimes, thus lacking eligibility to be present in the human rights forum.

It will take ages to enumerate the human rights violations in south Korea.

Particularly the continued refusal by south Korean authorities to repatriate the 12 DPRK women citizens who were abducted by south Korean agents in April last year constitutes typical crime of abduction and large scale human rights violation in the 21st century.

My delegation urges the OHCHR and HRC to continue to pay due attention to the issue of DPRK women abductees, the contemporary form of human rights violation, and take appropriate measure to have them repatriated without delay. –
